RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Commemoration Service

The annual RSL and Schools Remember ANZAC Commemoration Service is on Monday 9 April 2018 at the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park. This will be hosted by the Hon Rob Stokes MP, NSW Minister for Education and RSL NSW President, James Brown. 

More than 100 schools from throughout Sydney will participate in the Service, which will feature 1500 school children and supporting adults. 

The Service is completely conducted by the school students from the Master of Ceremonies though to the keynote speech, the Readings and the musical accompaniment. 

The ANZAC Service has been conducted in Hyde Park every year since 1953 and is a collaboration between Catholic Schools NSW, the Association of Independent Schools of NSW, the NSW Department of Education and the RSL of NSW. 

As part of the Service, each school attending will lay a wreath, along with dignitaries. The Service will also include an Inspection of the Guard by the official party, the Last Post, the Ode and Reveille.
